SIMULATION OF DRYING OF A WOOL FABRIC

Abstract: The aim of the study is to investigate the drying behavior of a single wool fabric. Mass transfer in the fabric is studied numerically with Comsol Multiphysics modeling and simulation software for driying air temperatures of 70 degrees C, 80 degrees C and 90 degrees C. Moisture distributions in the fabric is obtained by using two dimensional mass transfer model. Diffusion equation is used as it is the most effective mass transfer mechanism in the fabric
