THE TECHNICAL-ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF APPLYING DESULPHURISATION TECHNOLOGIES TO A THERMAL POWER PLANT

Rezumat: Sectorul energetic din Romania este una dintre sursele principale de poluare a aerului cu SO2, NOx, praf si CO2. Data fiind vechimea centralelor termoenergetice din tara noastra si folosirea de catre acestea de combustibili inferiori se impune modernizarea centralelor si dotarea acestora cu instalatii de reducere a poluantilor produsi. Pentru a evalua eforturile de modernizare este necesara realizarea unei analize tehnico-economice cu luarea în considerare a impactului asupra mediului a principalelor tehnologii de reducere a poluarii într-un sistem termoenergetic. Aceasta lucrare prezinta o analiza tehnico-economica a principalelor tehnologii de desulfurare care pot fi implementate intr-un sistem termoenergetic si anume: desulfurarea umeda a gazelor de ardere cu oxidare fortata si desulfurarea semiuscata a gazelor de ardere.

Abstract: The energy sector in Romania is one of the main sources of polluting the air with SO2, NOx, particulate matter and CO2. Given the age of the thermal power plants in our country and their using inferior fuels their modernisation is a must as well as their endowment with reduction installations of the pollutants they produce. In order to evaluate the modernisation efforts it is necessary to make a technical-economic analysis taking into consideration the impact on the environment of the main technologies meant to reduce pollution in thermal power plants. The present paper presents a technical-economical analysis of the main desulphurisation technologies that can be implemented in a thermal power plant namely the forced oxidation wet flue gas desulphurisation and semi-dry flue gas desulphurisation.
